Job summary

Veoneer Southfield is seeking a Resident Engineer to be the primary customer interface for vehicle ECU customization and launches in a fast-paced automotive setting.

You will develop vehicle-specific configuration files, manage their releases, and provide product support with data retrieval and analysis. You’ll also track MRDs, support prototype and production builds, and collaborate across global teams to ensure high-quality deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience.
• Ability to understand complex systems and explain clearly.
• Customer focus and strong teamwork.
• Honest, reliable and collaborative professional.

Responsibilities

• Primary interface for vehicle ECU customization and launches.
• Develop vehicle-specific configuration files and manage releases.
• Provide product support and data retrieval/analysis.
• Track MRDs for prototype parts to customers.
• On-site customer support for prototypes and production builds.
• Support electrical bench testing and system-level tests.
• Release updated part numbers and related drawings/documents.
• Create and maintain End Item BOMs and drawings.
• Perform peer reviews to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Interface daily with customer and Veoneer teams.
• Work in a global team with Resident Engineers in multiple countries.
• Manage change requests impacting vehicle programs.
• Drive continuous improvements in daily team activities.
