Job summary

Tempo is building a developer-friendly layer-1 blockchain for stablecoins and real-world payments. As a full-stack engineer, you will build internal and first-party apps on Tempo and integrate its payments capabilities with partners.

This role suits a former founder or someone who wants to start a company someday, with exposure to product, integration, and go-to-market cycles. You will work across startups, mid-market, and enterprises, travel within the US as needed, and ship mission-critical

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including crypto exposure
  • 1+ year(s) in crypto field
  • Strong communication across technical and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to travel within the US to work with partners
  • Track record of shipping mission-critical systems where safety and reliability matter
  • Ability to balance speed, pragmatism, and technical quality
  • High motivation and drive to deliver
  • Razor-sharp thinking with precise language
  • Concise, evidence-based communicator
  • Excellent organizational and logistical skills
  • Intense curiosity with open-mindedness and scrappiness

Responsibilities

  • Build internal and first-party applications on top of Tempo for both agents and humans
  • Partner with startups and enterprises to integrate Tempo into their payment systems
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Tempo blockchain and its product surface area
  • Navigate unfamiliar codebases and organizations quickly to get products shipped
  • Bring field learnings back to Tempo to improve the product, developer experience, and blockchain itself
