Job summary

Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe’s experience in global payments and Paradigm’s expertise in crypto tech. Tempo’s payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases.

We’re building Tempo with design partners who are global leaders in AI, e-commerce, and financial services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including 1+ year(s) in crypto.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to travel within the US to work with partners when needed.
• Track record of shipping mission-critical systems where safety and reliability matter.
• Ability to balance speed, pragmatism, and technical quality.

Responsibilities

• Build internal and first‑party applications on top of Tempo for both agents and humans.
• Partner with startups and enterprises to integrate Tempo into their payment systems.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Tempo blockchain and its product surface area.
• Navigate unfamiliar codebases and organizations quickly to get products shipped.
• Bring field learnings back to Tempo to improve the product, developer experience, and blockchain itself.
