Job summary

Flow is seeking a software engineer who builds practical, AI-powered software used by operators and neighbors in real-world environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate operational pain points into scalable software and intelligent workflows.

You’ll join a product-minded engineering culture that values rapid iteration, rigorous engineering judgment, and thoughtful AI integration across backend, frontend, and data layers.

Qualifications

• At least three years of software engineering experience building products or internal tools.
• Willingness to learn quickly and expand into unfamiliar areas.
• Ability to move across backend, frontend, data, or infrastructure as needed.
• Strong written communication and product-oriented mindset.
• Experience with AI-native development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software, workflow automations, and AI-enabled products.
• Collaborate with operations, leasing, marketing, and other teams to solve real problems.
• Move across the stack to ship complete solutions, not just one layer.
• Lead experiments to validate ideas and measure business impact.
• Embed with diverse business functions to align goals and execution.
• Own problems end-to-end from discovery through rollout and adoption.
• Document system design decisions and explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Use AI coding assistants while maintaining quality and reliability.
