Job summary

Flow is seeking a software engineer to build AI-powered software that improves operations for neighbors and operators in physical environments. You’ll work across backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure, embracing a product-engineer mindset and rapidly shipping high-quality tools.

Join a fast-moving team with significant autonomy, focused on practical AI-enabled workflows, and built for real-world use in buildings and communities. Onsite in San Francisco is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years building software products, platforms, or internal tools that improve operations or productivity.
• Willingness to learn quickly and expand into unfamiliar areas as needed.
• Strong product instincts and ability to understand neighbor/operator needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software, workflows, and AI-enabled products for operators and neighbors.
• Collaborate across operations, marketing, leasing, and other functions to solve real pain points.
• Move across the stack (backend, frontend, data, infra) to ship complete solutions.
• Lead experiments to validate ideas, measure impact, and iterate toward business value.
• Embed with business teams to map goals and implement solutions that move the company forward.
• Own problems end-to-end from discovery to rollout and adoption.
• Document design decisions and tradeoffs for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
