Flow is hiring a software engineer who treats technology as a tool to improve how neighbors live and how operators work. You’ll blend backend, frontend, data, and AI-driven automation to ship practical solutions across buildings, hotels, and offices.

Expect rapid learning, autonomous ownership, and collaboration with diverse teams. You will work on AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices to move ideas to working solutions at Flow’s in-building scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering building products, platforms, or internal tools.
• Willingness to be a generalist across backend, frontend, data, or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated trajectory and adaptability to learn new areas quickly.
• Builder’s mindset focused on neighbors and operators' needs; technology as a tool.
• Fluency with AI-enabled work, with judgment to keep quality high while moving fast.
• Experience collaborating with business and product stakeholders to solve real workflow problems.
• Strong hands-on skills in shell scripting, Python, Go, TypeScript, and more.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data, vector databases, and graph databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document and explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software, workflows, and AI-enabled products for operators and neighbors.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, leasing, and other functions to translate pain points into scalable solutions.
• Move across the stack as needed to ship complete solutions, not just a single layer.
• Lead experiments to validate ideas quickly and measure business impact.
• Embed with different business units to understand goals and implement forward-moving solutions.
• Own problems end-to-end from discovery to rollout and adoption.
• Document design decisions and trade-offs for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development while preserving quality.
