Job summary

Flow is hiring a software engineer to design, build, and maintain AI-enabled software that improves how operators and neighbors live and work across our properties. You will collaborate with operations, marketing, leasing, and other teams to transform real pain points into scalable products, moving across backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of software engineering experience.
• Desire to be a generalist and move across backend, frontend, data, or infra.
• A builder’s mindset focused on neighbors and operators needs.
• Genuine AI-nativeness with fluency in AI tools and quality judgment.
• Experience collaborating with business and product stakeholders to solve workflows.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, and shell scripting.
• Experience with relational, vector, and graph data patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for clear documentation and prompts.
• Ability to balance elegant design with practical delivery and continuous value.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software, workflows, and AI-enabled products to improve operators and neighbors.
• Partner with teams across operations, marketing, leasing, and other functions to translate pain points into scalable solutions.
• Move across the stack - backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure - to ship a complete solution.
• Lead experimentation to validate ideas quickly, measure impact, and iterate toward value.
• Embed with business functions to understand goals, create a plan, and implement solutions.
• Own problems end-to-end from discovery to rollout and adoption.
• Document system design decisions and explain tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining high quality.
