Actalent, Inc. in Coral Springs, FL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Development team. You will own the full product lifecycle from concept through production, owning the design, testing, and validation processes.

This onsite role emphasizes hands-on development, 3D CAD design, and collaboration with manufacturing teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions for water treatment, food production, and energy infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with mechanical product design and development.
• SolidWorks and 3D CAD design proficiency.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design calculations and analysis.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings, engineering documentation, and technical reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new product development projects from concept, design, and prototyping through production release.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Perform engineering calculations, design analyses, and validation activities to ensure reliable and robust product performance.
• Plan and execute product testing, including development of test procedures and evaluation of results.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and implement product enhancements based on performance data, customer feedback, and field observations.
• Develop engineering documentation including specifications, design records, test reports, and quality-related documents.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Support products throughout their lifecycle, including troubleshooting, redesigns, and manufacturing optimization.
