Job summary

Actalent in Clearwater, FL is seeking a permanent, on-site Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment for washing and sanitizing applications. You will translate customer needs into manufacturable designs while collaborating with electrical, procurement, and manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes 3D CAD design, GD&T, DFM/DFA, sheet metal work, and support for service with technical expertise and replacement parts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
3–6 years in a mechanical, applications, or manufacturing engineering role.
Experience designing mechanical components and systems for industrial equipment.
Proficient with 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
Knowledge of GD&T, DFM, DFA; sheet metal design.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support production of mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment.
Translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, procurement, manufacturing, and testing teams.
Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings with documentation.
Apply DFM/DFA and GD&T to improve design and manufacturability.
Support service with technical assistance and replacement parts.
