Job summary

Mainstream Engineering Corporation is seeking a Mechanical/Product Development Engineer to turn ideas into real products in Florida. You will own designs from concept through production, build and test prototypes, and collaborate with manufacturing to realize production-ready items.

You’ll work on a diverse mix of commercial and defense products, applying 3D CAD, GD&T, and DFM principles to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions while supporting ECOs and design reviews.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.3 GPA or higher.
• Professional experience in mechanical/product design and development.
• Experience using 3D CAD to create models and drawings.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Experience taking products from design into production.
• US Citizenship required due to ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new mechanical products and components from concept through production.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Evaluate and improve existing products through redesign and analysis.
• Develop prototypes and support testing, qualification, and validation.
• Apply GD&T and manufacturing feasibility to designs.
• Work with manufacturing to bring designs into production.
• Process ECOs and manage documentation for changes.
