Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Technical Leadership and Development Architect to lead a small team and deliver scalable features. You will guide architecture decisions, promote strong engineering practices, and collaborate across product, QA, and development teams.

You will own plans from design through delivery, mentor engineers, and help unblock the team. The role emphasizes strategic thinking, code quality, and cross‑team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
• Front‑end experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue (React.js preferred). Back‑end experience with Node.js and REST APIs such as Express or Fastify.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including writing queries, migrations, and optimizations.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Redis, event‑based communication, job processing, and queuing concepts.
• Proven ability to architect features, plan implementation from start to finish, and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the judgment to know when to research, ask questions, and move forward.
• Experience mentoring developers, supporting engineer growth, and helping others improve through feedback and guidance.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to explain technical decisions, understand other viewpoints, and receive feedback constructively.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple roles, keeping projects moving, and helping unblock engineers.
• Experience helping define, improve, or reinforce team processes, development standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Development Architect: deliver new features aligned with goals, standards, and long‑term product needs.
• Promote engineering practices through code reviews, tooling, testing patterns, and cross‑team coordination.
• Own work assigned to the team from planning to delivery and post‑release support; mentor and guide the team.
• Plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate work with product managers, QA, devs, and other leads.
• Lead or support ceremonies such as planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives to keep work moving.
