Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive new electrical power distribution products from concept through production release. You will create electrical and mechanical designs using CAD tools, develop reusable architectures, and maintain documentation, BOMs, and specs.

You will collaborate with manufacturing to optimize for cost, reliability, and scalable production, and coordinate with certification agencies to meet UL/IEEE/NEMA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in product design, engineering, or new product development.
• Experience with CAD systems and engineering documentation.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Ability to manage technical projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop new electrical power distribution products from concept through production release.
• Create electrical and mechanical product designs using CAD and engineering tools.
• Develop standard architectures, reusable design platforms, and configurable product structures.
• Create and maintain engineering docs, BOMs, and product specs.
• Drive product cost reduction, manufacturability, reliability, and scalability improvements.
