Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with solid modeling/CAE/CAD tools (Pro/E, SolidWorks).
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Understanding of GD&T; experience with FEA tools.
• Knowledge of copper alloys and high-performance engineering plastics.
• Knowledge of networking/datacenter/server architectures.
• Manufacturing technologies such as stamping, molding, plating are a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering.
• Ability to travel ~10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Understand evolving industry needs and product requirements.
• Collaborate with Signal Integrity team to align mechanical design with electrical performance.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Integrity to ensure reliability over the product life.
• Work with NPI and Machine Design teams to enable high-volume, high-quality production.
• Conduct tolerance loop analyses.
• Aid material selection (metal, plastic, coatings).
• Develop initial product specifications and technical documentation.
• Interface with customers during multiple project phases; support sales.
• Coordinate with internal/external suppliers for DFM, prototyping, and tooling; travel as needed.
• Provide technical support to marketing and sales teams.
• Participate in quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to fixture/tooling design and test plans.
• Engage in cost-reduction projects.
