Job summary

Garmin invites applications for a Product Designer Intern at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will learn to apply usability and user-centered design principles to guide software UI development across products, working with UX designers, engineers and product managers. You will design, prototype and test interfaces, collaborate on design directions and help maintain UI consistency across Garmin products.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Interactive Design or related field.
• GPA 3.0 or higher as general rule.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant UI design experience or training.
• Additional education/experience as required for projects.

Responsibilities

• Learn to research, design and prototype new user experiences for features.
• Create design mockups and wireframes; capture interactivity and business logic.
• Collaborate with UX designers, engineers and product managers on design directions.
• Assist with UI testing and usability feedback for new designs.
• Maintain UI consistency across Garmin products.
