ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineer to drive hydraulic component and brake system projects from concept through production.

You will craft specifications, develop designs, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, project management, and manufacturing. The role requires a 4+ year background in product design, strong hydraulics and analytical design skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• At least 4 years in product design, preferably hydraulics/brake systems.
• Strong hydraulics, mechanics, and analytical design skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical docs and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop project concepts into detailed engineering specifications.
• Design, research, and develop mechanical components and systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute design assignments for projects.
• Collaborate with sales, customers, and manufacturing to align designs.
• Proceed independently on design work while participating in technical discussions.
• Provide technical direction and review work of designers and drafters.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending product/process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
