Job summary

ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. invites a Senior Test Engineer to lead development of electrohydraulic test systems and simulate real-world usage conditions.

You will design, oversee, and optimize test programs spanning mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and software domains, and write software to control tests. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering (master’s preferred) with 7+ years of experience, strong technical writing, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical writing and process development skills.
• Highly organized with project management and risk assessment abilities.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW, PLC and automation languages.
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Researching and implementing new technologies in electrohydraulic test equipment.
• Overseeing development of complex test equipment spanning mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and software design.
• Developing test methods and systems to simulate real-world usage conditions.
• Writing software (LabVIEW, PLC, and other automation languages) to control and monitor tests.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards for environmental and lifetime testing.
• Interfacing with product engineering teams during development.
• Planning and overseeing test programs from concept to production release.
• Developing data analysis methods to create reports from prototype, environmental and lifetime tests.
