Job summary

Danfoss, a global engineering leader, seeks a Product Application Engineer in Minneapolis to be the trusted expert helping customers apply advanced hydrostatic pumps and motors to their machines in the off-highway market.

You will link customers with internal teams, translating requests into technical solutions, and supporting sales through consultative engineering, documentation, and training. This role blends lab work with strategic problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar application, product, or design engineering role.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both customers and internal teams.
• Strong hands-on aptitude and a passion for working with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with off-highway, construction, or agricultural equipment is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to technical expert for our customers and internal sales teams, providing critical product support to win new business.
• Champion special customer requests from start to finish, collaborating across engineering, operations, and purchasing to deliver custom solutions.
• Create and deliver engaging product training for both internal teams and external customers, making complex technical information easy to understand.
• Serve as the voice of the customer within our business unit, ensuring their technical needs and feedback are at the heart of our product decisions.
• Author clear and accurate technical documentation and customer notifications that ensure our product information is world-class.
