Job summary

Power-Packer is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to lead specification, design, and support of components and subassemblies for our products. You will work on CAD drawings, design reviews, and simulations to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.

The role involves verifying designs with CFD/FEA, executing test plans, and documenting results. Relevant experience with hydraulics/pneumatics is valued; cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Product Design or R&D preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of industry products, manufacturing processes and related technology.
• Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems preferred.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal. Team player in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of APQP or stage gate development processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops product and process specifications and verifies standards.
• Creates and modifies designs and drawings using CAD tools and PDM systems.
• Supports design reviews internally and externally.
• Verifies designs via engineering calculations, modelling, CFD/FEA.
• Proves design meets specs through test plans and reports; supports prototypes.
• Implements design changes to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Provides estimates for engineering tasks and tracks progress.
• Documents design artifacts per the product development process.
