Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience; new graduates with applicable manufacturing or engineering internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD modeling and drafting; experience with platforms such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and their interaction within industrial equipment or vehicles.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Hands-on aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools to troubleshoot and evaluate design issues.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with FEA or other engineering analysis tools is a plus.
  • Manufacturing, production, or hands-on engineering experience is a plus.
  • Resourceful, innovative, and willing to learn new technologies and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering designs, layouts, models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD, FEA, and other engineering tools.
  • Design and modify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and system-level components and assemblies.
  • Develop project-specific engineering bills of materials and maintain accurate product documentation.
  • Analyze technical requirements and develop solutions that meet performance, cost, reliability, safety, and manufacturability objectives.
  • Support prototype, testing, production, and implementation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design, fit, form, function, wiring, and system integration issues on completed equipment.
  • Conduct testing and validation to verify designs and improve product performance and reliability.
  • Maintain drawings, specifications, engineering changes, and other technical documentation.
  • Communicate engineering information and requirements to manufacturing, quality, purchasing, service, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support throughout the product development and production lifecycle.
  • Mentor, train, and support other team members as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, process improvement, and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting engineering designs based on customer, application, and project-specific requirements. This position will plan, design, model, test, troubleshoot, and document mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and systems throughout the product development and production process.
