Description

Associate is responsible for completing in store food and non‑food demonstrations. Acquire and maintain product knowledge, prepare, serve and break down product, equipment and supplies. Intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proactively intercept, engage, interact and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet and navigate the company’s electronic systems (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF forms).

Qualifications

Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device, navigating applications and internal systems.

Certifications: Local food handler permit may be required.

Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, handling objects, reaching up to 65 inches overhead, talking and hearing, reading instructions, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing, balancing, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), pushing/pulling a demonstration cart fully loaded with appliances, supplies and product, preparing foods and beverages using required appliances, and contact with cleaning supplies.

Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming; employee must present neat, clean and appropriately groomed appearance in accordance with retailer dress code.

Language Skills: English primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
