Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented. The Associate prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business or client needs. The job description does not imply these are the only tasks; individuals will also perform other job‑related instructions and tasks as directed by management.

Responsibilities
  • Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the represented products.
  • Has the desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Properly sets up and prepares the Event Table for execution.
  • Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
  • Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Completes expense reports as per company policy.
  • Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Accesses the internet, navigates company’s electronic systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents such as Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in using and navigating personal computers or mobile devices with applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance: Individuals must ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming; specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.

Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
