Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products professionally, and maintaining a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate the company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Local food handler permit may be required.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladders, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

None.

Work Environment

Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance

Proposed to present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance and to follow retailer dress code requirements.

Language Skills

English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
