Job description

DESCRIPTION

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining product knowledge, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, and demonstrating products professionally to consumers while maintaining a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Navigate the internet, company electronic systems, Microsoft Outlook, and view documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF.
  • Work no more than 25 hours per week; schedule may change based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; preferred 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device to navigate applications and internal systems.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Stand and walk throughout the shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat; climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a fully loaded demonstration cart; prepare foods and beverages using cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
  • Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
  • Physical Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming; specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training materials.
  • Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
