Description
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. The role requires acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate must intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Responsibilities
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports according to Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: Stand and walk during shifts; use hands and fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat; climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a fully laden demonstration cart; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; in contact with cleaning supplies.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Work Environment: Retail store environment; limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance; follow retailer dress code requirements.
- Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required depending on business necessity.

Compensation
- Salary Range: $14.75 – $16.00 per hour.
