Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations.

Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies.

Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proactively intercept, engage with, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Keep a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare event tables for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports per company policy.
• Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate through company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents (Microsoft Word & PDF forms).

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination.

Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handler permit may be required.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach up to 65 inches overhead, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb ladders, balance, lift and carry up to 25 lb (occasionally up to 50 lb), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, prepare foods and beverages with required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Work Environment

Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance

Requires professional appearance, proper grooming, neat, clean, appropriately groomed in accordance with retailer dress code.

Language Skills

English primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business need.
