Job description

Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Gains and maintains knowledge of products represented, prepares, serves and breaks down product, equipment and supplies, intercepts consumers, demonstrates products in a professional manner, and maintains overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers.
• Effectively communicate features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per company policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business or client needs.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training preferred; or equivalent combination.
• Computer Skills: Proficient at using and navigating personal computer/mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates: Local food handler permit may be required.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms up to 65 inches, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb/step up ladder, balance, lift/carry up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), push/pull a wheeled demo cart fully loaded, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and handle cleaning supplies.

Work Environment

Retail store environment with limited travel.

English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
