Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of the products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers, and demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Possess aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per company policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.

Work hours are limited to no more than 25 hours per week. The company reserves discretion to change the role based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills: Proficient use of personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach up to 65 inches, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step onto ladder, balance, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, handle cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
• Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming in accordance with retailer dress code.
• Language Skills: English primary; bilingual may be required per business necessity.
