Description

Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquire and maintain product knowledge. Prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner. Maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product.
• Ability to prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
• Properly sets up and prepares Event Table for execution.
• Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Completes expense reports as per company policy.
• Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Ability to access the internet, navigate company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Word & PDF forms.
• Role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business needs.
• Perform any other job-related tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination.
• Computer Skills: Proficient using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: Stand and walk during shift; use hands and fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop; kneel; squat; climb or step on ladder; balance; lift & carry up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs); push/pull wheeled demonstration cart fully laden; prepare foods and beverages with required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
• Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming; present neat, clean and appropriately groomed; retailer dress code requirements in training documents.
• Language Skills: English primary; bilingual may be required per business necessity.
