Summary:

This role organizes product data updates so teams can use accurate, consistent product information. It sits within the product management team and works under a product operations team lead. You coordinate with product managers, supplier contacts, and ecommerce colleagues to keep product attributes, categories, and update requests aligned. This is a fully remote, desk-based position offering work from home in Connecticut, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming product update requests from a shared queue and email, then organize them by required action, readiness, owner, and target completion date.
  • Check supplied product identifiers, dimensions, materials, category assignments, and variant relationships against approved source information before arranging updates to existing product entries.
  • Maintain product attributes in a product information management system such as Akeneo, using established field definitions and naming conventions for consistent entries.
  • Use a Spreadsheets and data entry tool such as Microsoft Excel to compare submitted values, flag missing fields, and prepare update lists.
  • Coordinate task assignments and review dates through a Project management tool such as monday.com, keeping ownership and dependencies visible to the product team.
  • Ask supplier contacts or product managers to clarify missing or conflicting details, and record their responses alongside the relevant product update request.
  • Arrange checks of prepared changes with the designated product reviewer, then coordinate approved updates without creating new product descriptions or other creative material.
  • Follow up on overdue responses and unresolved discrepancies, escalating blocked updates or competing priorities to the product operations team lead with clear context.
  • Confirm completed updates appear correctly in the intended product channels, notify requesting colleagues, and close requests with source references and concise completion notes.
  • Meet quality expectations through accurate attributes, timely turnaround, complete notes, and consistent follow-up; share recurring product data issues during routine team reviews.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • About 1-2 years of experience coordinating product data, maintaining product catalogs, or supporting product operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with product identifiers, attribute structures, category hierarchies, units of measure, and relationships between parent products and variants.
  • Understanding of data quality checks, duplicate identification, data cleansing, and reconciliation between source information and product system entries.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets for filtering, sorting, basic formulas, and comparisons, with readiness to learn the named product and task systems.
  • Clear written communication for requesting missing details, explaining discrepancies, and keeping product managers and supplier contacts informed about pending actions.
  • Ability to organize concurrent requests, follow established review steps, and maintain traceable notes without making unsupported changes to product information.
  • Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace; availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Fully remote work from home in Connecticut, with desk-based responsibilities and collaboration through shared systems.
  • Structured onboarding and training on the named product information management, spreadsheet, and project management systems.
  • Regular check-ins with the team lead to review priorities, discuss questions, and receive practical feedback.
  • Build skills in product attribute coordination, data quality, spreadsheet comparisons, and communication across product teams.
  • Health coverage, paid leave, a 401(k), maternity leave, and stipends.
