Job Title: Product Catalog Administrator
Monthly Pay: $3,537 - $5,204 USD per month
Summary
Each shift begins with the product catalog request queue, where new items and updates await checks that help shoppers find accurate product information. This administrator sits within the product management team and works under a product catalog team lead, maintaining organized product entries through established procedures. The role works with product managers, ecommerce colleagues, and supplier contacts to resolve missing details and keep updates moving. This is a fully remote, desk-based opportunity to work from home in Pennsylvania, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities
- Review incoming catalog requests and supplier emails, identify requested additions or changes, and arrange assigned work by priority and readiness.
- Compare submitted product information with approved source material, checking item identifiers, descriptions, dimensions, category assignments, and variant relationships before making changes.
- Enter approved attributes into a product information management system such as Salsify, following field definitions and preserving consistent naming across related items.
- Maintain product lifecycle statuses, distinguish draft entries from approved listings, and avoid publishing products before required checks and permissions are complete.
- Check supplied digital asset references against the correct product and variant, flagging missing or mismatched images without creating or editing visual materials.
- Prepare standardized import templates, verify source columns against destination fields, and review import results for missing values or rejected entries.
- Track assigned requests in a project management tool such as Asana, recording changes, open questions, source references, and the next required action.
- Follow up with supplier contacts or product managers when information is incomplete, and **escalate** conflicting specifications or uncertain changes to the product catalog team lead.
- Review completed entries against accuracy, turnaround, complete notes, and follow-up expectations, correcting routine errors before sending work for the required review.
- Close completed requests after confirmation, summarize unresolved items for the next shift, and highlight recurring catalog issues that may need clearer instructions.
