Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking team members to support the Produce department by receiving, preparing, stocking, and displaying products while upholding WFM standards. The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service to customers and teamwork across shifts.

No prior retail experience is required; candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand most of the shift, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training and safety are priorities.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively and provide courteous service.
• Learn basic knowledge of all products in the department.
• Understand growing processes differentiating organic from conventional produce.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean and well stocked through front-facing, code checks, rotation, and removal of out-of-date products.
• Assist with organizing displays of volume and seasonal items.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers and leads.
• Complete required spoilage, temperature, and sweep worksheets.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing during opening, mid, and closing duties.
