Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Produce Team Leader to supervise and develop a high-performance Produce team. You will train team members, ensure proper stock and cleanliness, and manage department openings, breaks, and customer flow.

You will mentor staff, conduct evaluations, and uphold company vision and goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Produce team procedures and policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
• Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
• Product knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
• Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitor ing profitability, and managing inventory.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operation s- related applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Works with Produce Trainer to train Team Members in a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
• Keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to established procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and responds to needs and questions.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely, thorough performance evaluations.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
