Job summary

Whole Foods Market in San Francisco, CA seeks a Produce Team Lead to supervise and develop Team Members, manage department flow and ensure high standards in displays and inventory. You will partner with the Produce Team Leader and Associate Team Leaders to maintain smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining clean and stocked shelves, scheduling, conducting timely evaluations, and promoting a positive work environment aligned with WFM

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of Produce procedures and safety policies.
• Strong customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Works with Produce Trainer to train Team Members in a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
• Keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to established procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
• Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.
• Consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
