Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in California is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead one of the busiest store teams, ensuring exceptional customer service and healthy food choices for guests.

You will assist in managing the department, coordinating merchandising, overseeing ordering and inventory, and driving freshness and quality across all produce items while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with basic math skills.
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
• Adhere to safety regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jacks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in department management and merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Handle ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervise the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through receiving, processing, labeling, pricing, and rotation of items.
• Help lead a team to deliver high-quality products and level of service for customers.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, and training the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate/maintain produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
