Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to support the Produce Manager in leading a busy department and ensuring top-quality produce for customers in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have basic math skills.
• Reliability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and sanitation duties in the department.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver pallets as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, and rotation of items.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality product and excellent customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
