Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math knowledge.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly attitude with ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of items.
• Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product and service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines by all team members.
