Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Avon, CT is seeking team members to support the Produce department. You will receive and prepare products, maintain the Produce floor and displays, and assist customers with friendly service in line with WFM standards.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, tracking spoilage, and supporting store programs. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing display by keep cases and shelves stocked and front-facing.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and shift supervisor.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
