Job summary

Cool Pak, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Sales Representative to drive packaging solutions for the produce industry. You’ll expand the customer base, promote new products, and develop relationships with producers, processors and distributors to grow revenue.

Expect 60%+ travel, strong outside sales experience in packaging/labels, bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and a salary range of $90-120k plus commissions, with full Bunzl benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business preferred.
• 3-5 years of outside sales experience; preferably selling packaging and labels in the produce industry.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; outstanding customer service skills.
• Travel 60%+, including overnight stays; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote new products and increase current product penetration within existing customer base.
• Lead generation and cold calling prospects.
• Sell into existing accounts value-added products: custom print packaging, industrial bags, high end flexible packaging, clamshells, corrugated, packaging machinery, labels, RPC labels, soaker pads, stretch wrap, etc.
• Take all “walk in” customers, answer questions and evaluate opportunities.
• Provide timely and accurate sales forecast to operational team to ensure inventory levels are up-to-date.
• Evaluate pricing every quarter to ensure and protect margins.
• Participate in industry association functions, including attendance at industry trade shows to promote products.
• Work with management to develop independent distributor and sales representative relationships.
• Identify public relations opportunities.
• Work with management to develop marketing communications, including marketing collateral, promotional items, direct mail and websites.
• Assist in the development of new designs and projects, along with continued product improvement.
• Work with outside vendors on new materials and new innovative produce packaging solutions.
