Job summary

Kj's Market is hiring for a Produce/Floral department host to ensure guests receive polite, friendly service and meet sales targets. You will maintain stock, quality standards, and department safety in a fast-paced setting.

You will train and guide hosts, manage inventory, and perform tasks from stocking to guest assistance, with emphasis on merchandising compliance and teamwork with other departments.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of produce operations.
• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guests service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the produce/floral department hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the produce/floral department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets FLOCO Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to FLOCO Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure produce department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking and guests service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s staffing and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
