Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Produce & Floral Department Lead to support the Produce & Floral Department Manager in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Lead and coach the team, ensure the department looks its best, and step in as acting manager when needed.

You’ll monitor schedules, manage inventory, assist with ordering, and collaborate with department leaders to drive store success while maintaining a culture of hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of progressive management experience in retail, grocery, or related field.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while meeting performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
• Maintain accurate inventory, minimize shrink, support ordering processes.
• Act as a resource for team members in the manager’s absence.
• Model hospitality and engage guests to create positive experiences.
• Assist with merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
• Analyze department financial and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with department leaders to drive store success.
• Leverage technology to perform these tasks.
