The Fresh Market is seeking a Produce & Floral Department Lead to support the Produce & Floral Department Manager in delivering an extraordinary guest experience. You will lead with care, coach your team, and ensure each department looks its best while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You will work alongside the manager, handle daily operations, and step in as acting manager when needed, upholding our culture of leadership, hospitality, excellence, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and support ordering.
• Serve as a resource for team members in manager’s absence.
• Model hospitality by engaging guests and creating positive experiences.
• Implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales.
• Analyze department financial and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with department leaders to drive store success.
• Leverage available technology to perform tasks.
