Qualifications

• Must be flexible to mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights.
• Understanding of department operations: managing people, merchandising, inventory, scheduling.
• Experience with produce operations and store basics.
• Strong communication with employees, customers, and supervision.
• Able to react quickly to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relations in the produce department by setting an example of friendliness and courtesy.
• Be alert to store security and assist as needed.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and courteously.
• Oversee hiring, firing, discipline, transfers and evaluations of produce staff.
• Provide training on price marking and customer service.
• Supervise salad bar operations.
• Plan staff schedules for full- and part-time employees.
• Maintain neat appearance and uniforms for staff.
• Communicate effectively with store personnel.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of produce.
• Maintain stock levels with proper ordering.
• Submit records and reports; manage cleaning and maintenance.
• Analyze and adjust space, display, inventory, and staffing.
