Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and counting accuracy.
• Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Current food handlers permit required upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, safety and food safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Set performance goals and empower staff to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates on performance, inventory and stocking.
• Create an welcoming environment and assist customers with questions and product recommendations.
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Monitor sell-through and shrink reduction using Fresh Insights.
• Recommend produce items to meet customer needs.
• Develop a department business plan to achieve results.
• Work in refrigerated areas and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Implement merchandising plans and keep ads current.
• Monitor price tags and promotional signs.
