Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum management experience.
• Ability to work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines; ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Report safety risks or issues, including robbery, theft or fraud; notify management of accidents.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and CAO (Computer Assisted Ordering).
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Schedule price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions; note discrepancies.
• Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and financial reports; take action as needed.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; implement period promotional plan.
• Prepare seasonal critiques and submit to sales/merchandising supervisor.
• Create and execute promotions with store management.
• Know the store layout and product locations; respond to product questions and suggestions.
