Qualifications

• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Understanding key components of department operations (people, merchandising, ordering, inventory, shrink).
• Working knowledge of produce preparation and store operations.
• Strong communication with employees, customers, and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by produce department personnel through exemplary behavior.
• Be alert and assist in store security.
• Handle customer complaints.
• Direct hiring, firing, disciplining, transferring and evaluating produce department personnel.
• Provide training on price marking and customer courtesy to staff.
• Supervise all aspects of salad bar operations.
• Plan schedules for full- and part-time employees for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain neat appearance and proper uniforms for department staff.
• Maintain good communication with all store personnel.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all produce products.
• Ensure adequate stock by proper ordering to maintain inventory.
