Whole Foods Market in Westport, CT is seeking a Produce Team Leader/Team Member supervisor to assist with scheduling and day-to-day flow of the department. You will oversee displays, train team members, and ensure friendly, efficient service.

The role emphasizes high standards of retail execution, inventory control, safety, and compliance with health regulations. You will lead, mentor, and evaluate staff while maintaining a positive work environment and strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of Produce team procedures and policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Works with Produce Trainer to train Team Members and reduce turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given as needed.
• Communicates team concerns to Lead/Associate Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive teamwork and morale environment.
• Maintains awareness of customer needs and directs team accordingly.
• Trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Represents WFM vision and goals to the team.
