Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to support day-to-day Produce operations, merchandising, and inventory management. You will engage with customers, help schedule associates, and ensure fresh, properly priced product for weekly specials.

Responsibilities include supervising staff in the absence of the Produce Manager, maintaining backroom organization, and upholding company policies for quality and safety. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Produce Manager in day-to-day functions of Produce operations.
• Merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement and customer service.
• Oversee department inventories and scheduling, ensuring product availability.
• Manage inventory levels, backroom organization, and shelf replenishment.
• Ensure proper product handling, freshness and pricing per policy.
• Support in training and supervising department associates.
