Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with purchasing experience.
• 3+ years of progressive purchasing or buying experience.
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
• 2+ years of experience supervising or managing employees.
• 2+ years of experience using an ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or a comparable platform.

Responsibilities

• Procurement: Manage a team that plans, purchases and controls inventory to meet the Master Production Schedule and backlog; negotiate delivery schedules.
• Forecasts: Review shortages and adjust material forecasts and schedules.
• Suppliers: Build supplier relationships to ensure availability at a reasonable cost; source alternatives.
• Customer Supply: Plan and purchase materials for customer and planned requirements to support on-time shipments.
• Quality: Ensure specifications are met and analyze supplier quality trends.
• Management: Develop a high-performance team through recruitment, training and goal setting.
