Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Procurement Specialist to help keep products available, orders moving, and inventory on track. You’ll work on daily replenishment, supplier coordination, and SAP data maintenance, contributing to cost control and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, account services, or a related role handling orders, or financial information.
2+ years independently using a computer to navigate multiple applications and manage files.
2+ years of experience using Microsoft Outlook to manage business email, calendars, and meeting invitations.
2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to maintain, review, and analyze purchasing or inventory data.
APICS CPIM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and issue purchase orders according to company purchasing policies and procedures.
Confirm purchase order information (price, estimated delivery date, order quantity, unit of measure etc.).
Update the estimated delivery date on a real-time basis with Order Acknowledgements.
Expedite PO’s as needed with various departments and suppliers to ensure material availability.
Maintain and update all relevant planning/MRP data within SAP.
Support on all product life cycle related issues to include new product launches, transitions and end of life to ensure product availability and reduce obsolete inventory.
