Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Sedalia, MO, is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to lead a team of buyers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will develop talent, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, quality, and delivery performance while aligning with the Master Production Schedule.

The role requires progressive purchasing experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP-MRP familiarity. Manufacturing experience is valued, and the position offers growth opportunities within a global technology

Qualifications

3+ years of progressive purchasing or buying experience.
3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
2+ years of experience supervising or managing employees, including performance management.
2+ years of experience using an ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or a comparable platform.

Responsibilities

Procurement: Manage a team that plans, purchases and controls inventory to meet the Master Production Schedule and backlog.
Forecasts: Review shortage forecasts and expedite delivery; coordinate with engineering/production on material planning.
Suppliers: Develop supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective supply; source alternative suppliers.
Customer Supply: Plan and purchase materials for on-time customer shipments; use historical sales for forecasting.
Quality: Ensure purchased parts meet specifications; analyze supplier quality trends and find alternate sources.
Management: Build and maintain a high-performance team through recruitment, training and coaching.
